Introducing Belleville Chiropractor Dr. James Enyart

Belleville Chiropractor, Dr. James EnyartMy journey into chiropractic began in 1997.  I experienced an episode of back pain that was so excruciating I could not walk without the aid of crutches.  After a neurological consult, my family medical doctor referred me to a local chiropractor for the treatment of three herniated lumbar discs.  At first, I was extremely skeptical.  Reluctantly I made an appointment and I was simply amazed at the results I received through chiropractic care.  I decided that I wanted to help others as I was helped with chiropractic care.

My undergraduate education was completed at Southern Illinois University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with honors in 1997.  In addition, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Logan College of Chiropractic.

After completing my undergraduate coursework, I entered the Doctor of Chiropractic Program at Logan College of Chiropractic.  At Logan, I found my classes in Biochemistry to be especially challenging, but rewarding.  When I completed my Clinical Nutrition coursework, I greatly appreciated those same courses in Biochemistry to understand how Nutrition plays a pivotal role biochemically in health and disease processes.

I am extremely excited to have joined Lindenwood University Belleville this year as an Adjunct Professor in the Natural Sciences Department.  This year I have the great honor of being on the planning committee of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life-Belleville.  I am the Mission Delivery Chairperson.   In addition, I enjoy giving health and nutrition lectures to local community organizations and businesses.  Feel free to contact me if your business or organization needs a speaker.

Dr. Jay Asks some important questions of interest to Belleville residents - Chiropractor Belleville Dr. Jay Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Belleville chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
